Importance of Asexual and Sexual

How the emperor newt reproduces There are a couple different ways the salamanders can reproduce. Male and female salamanders search for one another during the breeding season, which occurs in the first warm rains of spring to avoid harsh environmental conditions. The salamander's mating involves a dance, the release of sperm, and the fertilization of eggs inside the female salamander. The male sends the chemical factor called pheromone, towards the female salamander by placing itself in front of her and waving his tail. The female will join him in a dance where they swim or walk around each other; they often engage in head-butting as well. The sperm enters the female’s body through an opening in her tail as she rubs herself over the spermatophore and the sperm fertilize her eggs. In other species, the male grasps the female’s body with his front or hind legs, which have rough patches of skin called “claspers” to help to secure the female, so that he can place the spermatophore into her. After the breeding season, the “claspers” disappear.
